The weather this morning was truly “June gloom” but the smiles on the faces of the people were awesome. We were closed last week due to Memorial Day so the neighborhood was happy to see our return. We had USDA bags filled with grocery staples and some non fat pepperoni as well. Everyone seemed to have a different idea of how to use this unusual treat. Next week we should hear the results. We feel blessed to have helped 403 families with their food needs this week that provides for 2200 individuals.

Pastor Ralph’s and his remarkable team were working wonders all morning long. It seems like everyone in the neighborhood wants to stop for a prayer and kind word. God is building an awesome sense of unity within this community. This morning 8 different individuals accepted Jesus as their Savior. We are very happy that in times of crisis, the team is able to lead them to God’s hope and comfort.

Next Monday, June 12, will be our next Produce Truck. In fact we will actually have two trucks next Monday so we certainly need every helping hand and heart available. Second Harvest has arranged for a second truck filled with delicious trade show items to be accompanying our regular produce truck. Something new and different but with the need of extra help. Hope to see you then if you are available.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus replied,” You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all you mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.”
